Default Hush in concert. It needs to happen.

Ok, just want to rant a little.

What a tremendously fun song! I'm sitting here at work on Saturday and it wickedly expensive night of boozing here in Minneapolis and hanging out at wanna be douche bag clubs where all of the people are attractive and pretend that they have much more money than they do. I'm not saying I'm not exactly the same, but at least I'll admit it.

Now, back to BJ and this tremedous song and I 'll could think about is this girl I met in Mexico a couple of years ago on Spring Break. She was Mexican and didn't speak a lick of English and I could only speak broken Spanish. Needless to say there was just a lot of looking at each other. That is why "Hush" is great. The lyrics, "We don't talk about us. What we don't say with words, we say when we touch."

I was only with her one night (and not in the biblical sense of being "with" her), but it was somewhat powerful and it's songs like "Hush" (and almost all Bon Jovi song) that can bring feelings back from nowhere.

Now, can you imagine how super number one fantastic it would be if they broke this out in concert. Granted, not everyone would know the words, but it's got a beat, clever lyrics and plenty of opportunity for the crowd to participate. I know, I know. It'll never happen, but it's fun to have these type of hopes for the greatest live band in the world. (<-- I can not back down from that statement. Nobody pleases their fans more than Bon Jovi.)

Ok, I'm out like a fat kid in dodge ball.

Bye,

-t

Aloha !

Your story reminds me of Sad Song Night. Especially this part :

Well I never went back to the Spanish town
Hung up my dancing shows
And the world kept on spinning round and round
I think of her when they play that song
Sometimes I even sing along...

Yes I know she was Mexican, but it's a nice story. I don't like Hush too much, but when looking at your point of view I understand your need of hearing it live someday. I don't think it would work when played live though, but I do know what you mean.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Agree, but then I always said Hush should have been on Crush. It would have boosted it up a notch for me.

It was played live a few times during Jon's solo tour. I like that song, but there are much better ones that BJ should start playing.

cant see it happening to be honest, and anway there are a heap of songs that are higher up the "to - do" list, i.e. These Days songs, DRIFT AWAY, and I Want You

The same with a lot of the Crush demos. Hush is good and I'm a huge Neurotica fan

It already happened quite a few times in 1998 that Jon played Hush. With different lyrics though.

Any recordings? The only one I knew of was the Fan Club party and that wasn't live.

I thought Just Older was the one that was getting played by Jon, with different lyrics.

I heard it live in 1998 and it was very exciting, because Jon said this song was gonna be on the new album... I was a little confused when I found it on the B-Side of It's my Life... but I suddenly re-recognized it. Especially the "We don't talk about us"-part. That was great.
