I'm not sure about a category or profession that will love Bon Jovi.
I do know that engineers tend to be conservative politically and Jon especially makes no effort to hide his liberal leanings. Engineers tend not to like Bruce for the same reason. I have heard engineers say that Bruce is a traitor to his country (honestly).

However recently, I've noticed that some of the younger engineers that I work with are more receptive to some new bands (and yes - some of them are young enough to consider Bon Jovi a new band - to them).

As I said - I do my part and try to educate the ones whose minds are open enough to be receptive. I have dragged lots of people to concerts simply because I had extra tickets. Most everyone has come away a convert.

Dawn, I agree 100% with you on that. I was given a copy of SWW by an old boyfriend as he thought I might like the music. I played that album to death and didn't have any idea on what they looked like until about a week or so after.

Sometimes it's just impossible and I really don't care too much what other people think anyway. I still can't convince my friend Gina (who oddly enough dated a guy named Tommy) that my CD collection is not a "shrine." LOL She's clueless. Those are JUST the officially released CDs. Most people are so fickle when it comes to their tastes in music that it's hard for them to understand a long-lasting "relationship" with a single band.

In the end, Bon Jovi is still around, still making music that's relevant in today's market, and still drawing in millions of people every time they tour. If that's not "good enough" to convince the naysayers, nothing else will.

I find these type of people usually do not want to listen to facts or be set straight. I remember travelling on a horrible bus to Perth (Australia) back in 1995 to see the band. Several people on this bus spent hours and hours (35 hour ride) telling me that in the US you can see BJ perform at local bars for $10 a night LMAO
You cant reason with idiots

btw - BJ cancelled that perth show which made the ride all the worse

I get the piss taken out of me by a few of my mates for being a Bon Jovi fan, I just laugh it off and wait til next time they're round my house and put on my Bon Jovi CD's. That gets them, a couple of them actually admitted that Bon Jovi are a good band!

Some of my mates have a bit of a laugh, but it's more along the lines of if I make a CD for us to listen to they know it will be mostly Bon Jovi, but they don't mind, they never take the piss out of the music because they like it, just the fact that I like it more

He had tendonitis - it sucked cause that was the only show that I wasnt able to get a flight for. I guess a 35 hour bus ride in the heat getting abused about BJ is character building
We found out about halfway thru the trip .............
