I have question. Why it suck?. Coz u gonna compare it with orginal thing?. Or ur too found of orginal songs that u can't it twisting bit?.
For it really give pleasure to listen to TLFR espeally when my not feel lie listening any rock music or heavy stuff. It really very refreshing and very touching to me.
MY opinion....it is bad, worthless crap. of course I compare it with original things, i've heard them millions of times. and nope i am not too fond of originals, but they sure are hell of a lot better than tlfr versions.
when I feel like not wanting to listen to something heavy, then I listen to something like "regular" Jovi. to me, tlfr is something one can play in elevators/stores or wherever it's not meant to be "listened". glad to hear that it refreshens ya, to me it's more like mental spanking. which can be considered touching too, not just in positive way.
If u had listen it million time then u most be hearing day and night without a break. Then u r saying u hate it?. How it can be possible?.
And by the if don't like BJ orginal work, then how can u became a fan man???. And what is regular jovi is, backstreetboys??.
1) Did I ever say I was a "fan"? I have only said that I like some of their stuff, and that I hate all the cheesy crap they have made.

2) "hearing them millions of times" was referring to original versions. and not even u can be that dumb that u'd take "million" literally.

3) and where did backside boys come from? regular jovi for me is the rocking stuff that made some years back, not some leftish crap.

4) what comes to tlfr, I do hate it. I have heard it enough to hate it. even gave it few more listens, but still I hate it. It didnt get any better after hearing it few more times, quite the opposite. Only positive thing about it is "heroes" on japanese edition.

Aloha !

All I know is that I've finally got a term for the male Jon lovers. The Backstage Boys.

Fine, that's all I've got to add in this topic for now, now I only have to to wait for the moment to see a male Jon lover...

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

What is so funny is despite how split die hard Bon Jovi fans are over this album there was a whole thread over at a Bruce Springsteen board I am on with people who usually don't like Bon Jovi and love this album. They really found it innovative and gutsy and thought musically it was great. Oh, there were a couple, it sucks or they suck thrown in there but that happens anytime Bon Jovi is mentioned. If anything TLFR is gaining the attention of people who normally think of them as just some 80's band and they have been pleasantly surprised at the musical talent on this album. I used the momentum to recommend These Days as many did not even know there was anything between the 80's heyday and It's My Life.

Can't a person appreciate the band without prejudice? Does everyone need to be labeled? I don't want to start an agruement but I just don't see the constant need to start another new line of namecalling. Just seems very senseless.

It's that kind of album that you have to listen to it a couple of times before it smacks you in the face and says, Hey I'm pretty damn good!

Nope. You listen to it a few times and it still says "I suck big time".

As for allmike, I thought you had more sense that to start telling people they're wrong for not liking TLFR.

TLFR sucks because it's badly done. The songs are ruined and if you look at them as new songs, they are just plain bad. If that would've been the first Bon Jovi album I would've heard, I would never have listened to another one.

I said it sucked the minute I heard the first clips and I still say it sucks. TLFR is just bad.

This has nothing to do with Marybeth. This has to do with the way these threads seem to end up with namecalling. This thread is about someone discovering that they happen to like TLFR. I posted earlier that I agree with him but stuff like Seb's post just angers me. It's not called for. Quite childish is you ask me and not at all with the subject of the thread. I know I am just as guilty getting away from the original subject by replying to it but it just makes me mad on how namecalling is allowed on this board. People can't be allowed to appreciate anything about the band without being placed under a label - a form of prejudice.
