This song is beyond cool. A masterpiece. Very clever. I couldn't believe he didn't include it in DA. It's one of the best songs he's ever written - with or without Bon Jovi. Both lyrically and musically. Incredible.

I also really like the song. It's got the best bass riff ever and I've been looking all over the internet for a tablature so I too can jam along with it. It definately should have been on DA. The lyrics are kinda wierd, but the song rocks.

Well it definately would make more sense if Richie did write it, certianly with the reference to Heather.

[PSA]Downloading is bad.[/PSA] However, I found I Talk to Jesus on Kazaa. It is quite the jam.

No, Jon wrote it in England on the set of The Leading Man. He said he pictured a freak trying to get past the guards to get in to see the Queen and thought of some of the ways people have tried to get to see the band and created the character that he imagined to look a bit like a grown up Alfalfa (The Little Raskels).

The song was the B-Side of Janie, don't take your Love to Town. So it was not only available in Japan. Still there are reasons to buy singles - and this is a great one. Love lyrics and music very much.
It took some time to understand it. At first I was sceptic when I read that title, cause I'm not religous at all. But it's just great. "I talk to Jesus and Elvis Presley, I talk to Jesus, the king can save me..." very clever one.
