I wish people would drop this whole, is Hugh an official member rubbish?
Jon has said time and time again, he is not and never will be an official member. Basically because when Bon Jovi was formed, it was Jon, Richie, Dave, Alec & Tico - and that is how it will stay.
I don't even know why people are so desparate for him to be made an official member. Don't get me wrong, he's a great player, probably better than Alec. But personality wise, what does he bring to the band? Absoloutly nothing! He's a complete stiff on stage, and as one reviewer once said 'he may as well have session player tatooed on his head'. It's so obvious that most of his career has involved studio work and nothing else.
Hugh is quite happy with this situation (i'm sure his paid hansomly) so why can't we be?!

Oh, about the Hugh thing... someone posted on Backstage a few days ago about an interview Jon did with a radio station. They asked about Hugh becoming a member and Jon said the 5 of them had decided a long time ago to never officially replace anyone.
