living on a prayer, bad name are ok songs, but they could manage with out them! they have been playing them for 17 years!! IML doesn't fit any bon jovi concert...
so what if theyve been playing them 17 years!!!! Fair enuff that setlist is a selection of your favorite bon jovi songs, but 50,000 people arnt gonna stand there for three hours to listen to album songs from new jersey and these days. IMO it would be a very flat show indeed

that's right..... I don't say those songs should be droped because they've been playing them for so long, but because htey're not as exciting as they should do, the band seem to go through the motions on them.,...especially Bad Name.

50,000 people arn't going to stand though it because they don't really like the music..... I'd be more than happy to go to say a Malmsteen concert, or a Dream Theater concert, and not know a single song, because I'm going for the music. They don't really like Bon Jovi, just like the fact it's famous, they've heard it on TV, Jon Bon Jovi is a celebrity, and it's upbeet music they can dance to. That's not what Bon Jovi's about, or it shopuldn't be what they're about. I think they're better than a middle of the road karioke machine!

If Bon Jovi wrote 20 songs in a rock vain, i.e Slippery 7800 syle, then I'd be more than happy. It woudln't disapoint me one bit I hadn't heard a 'classic'.

Also, if you've been queing up since 7 in the morning, and have the expensive standing tickets, you're bit your standing in wouldn't be flat if they played Let it rock! I'd say the first 1/4 of the crowd will be real fans, obviously there are reasons people can't get down early, but by and large, if you spend the whole day in utter discomfort to be near the front, you're gonna know the band. So what if the people at the back are bored, in terms of atmosphere, you are only ever awear of the few 1000 people around where you're stood, so it woudln't make a difference. Plus the band only really see the first few rows, and won't hear any distinct areas, so it woudln't make any difference at all.... Plus these are the bits of the crowd who will go to hear the new single, and woudln't go to another show in any case, so it's not like the band would be letting down, or selling out their commercial following (selling out the people you sold your music out too....my head's spinning)

when i go to concert I want to see the things I have paid for! i don't want to see IML, Everyday and so on... because they suck! i want to see great rock performance from one of the worlds greatest rockband (at least they was once...). i want to hear rock! i doesn't matter how many people there are there, as long as they don't play songs like I got the girl.

if i have interpreted your post right, i think this is acaxtly want you want as well.

bon jovi (as you sad...) isn't about jumping around and screaming "jon you are so hooot!", its about good rockmusic.

i'm starting to get very tired of all those people who like bon jovi because of IML and jons looks, its so wrong!! that ain't bon jovi, Lay your hands on me IS!

Im very sure I havnt mentioned Jons looks once in this thread. Just because I want to hear Bon Jovi CLASSICS like Prayer bad name and IML doesnt make me any less of a fan than you. I want to go a rock show, not a pop concert which is precisely why tese songs have to be played

now we hasn't... but i was refering to those who goes on concerts!
i don't saying i'm a more fan then you are, you are probably a biger fan then me...

i don't want to hear bad name or prayer because of several reasons. one of them, they have played them every single concert during the last 17 years!! another reason is, if bon jovi want people to think that they are something else then a 1 hit wonder, they should try to switch set list from time to time...

love for sale is classic, has always been. just because it wasn't on the number 1 spot at billboard doesn't make it a non-classic, actually the opposite. long live the non commercial rock music!!
