1) had the talent, lost it. This sounds remarkably like an opinion to me, not a fact. I assume you are also saying Richie has lost his talent as well, since seven out of tyhe twelve tracks on the new record are co- written by him. You may not like the songs Jon and Co are writing, but it doesn't mean they are not well written , or that they aren't good songs.

2)Lost his voice. Again an opinion not a fact, since well someone was singing the hell out of Dry County and TD this last month in Europe. I seem to recall seeing hmm....... oh yeah that was JON . I don't think anyone will say that Jon's voice is as good now as it was in the nineties, it isn't but I do think that on this record and this tour Jon has made the adjustments he needed to to sing well, his voice has held up all tour, and he's sounding pretty damn good live.

3) Obsessed with his looks. So Bon Jovi would have never been if Jon hadn't been a cutie??? Interesting , but since his record deal offer came from the label hearing a song Runaway I believe, and he got nothing when he was walking into all the labels with demos and showing that cute face, I'm not sure your theory stands up. As for Crush and onward not being successful if Jon wasn't good looking, it was a song that drew in the new generation of fans, just like Prayer did for the generation before. And like the first time around this new generation keeps finding more songs and more to enjoy about this band. Does Jon being good looking hurt??? Absolutely not and I believe he has admitted that but it's a big jump from that to him being obsessed about his looks.

4) Sorry I read your original post incorrectly, I thought it said that the release of TD got held up by the acting which is why I was so incredulous about it I couldn't figure out how you figured that worked.

With that said wasn't it the death of the bands long time producer and friend that was the major reason for the hold up in the release of Crush?? The two year hiatus after TD was a planned thing as I recall.

As for the crack about where I live, Yes I live in the hinterlands but amazingly enough I actually get out of here quite often, certainly enough to know what's going on in the "real' world.

Yep, he actually cancelled quite a few shows on the last tour due to throat problems and needing surgery.

jon is ONLY 44, age cannot be used as a an excuse for his croaky voice.

George Michael/Michael Jackson for example, all around the same age, both still have fantastic voices.

and anyone can jump around and do the rockstar thing, Jagger is 60 odd for goodness sake and he's doing alright.

I just love you people who reckon that Jon should still be able to hit all the high notes just cos a handful of other singers can. Seriously

I've heard guys with very decent voices (local bar scene in NY/NJ) that are half Jon's age try and sing Always and they couldn't do it well either.

Yes, I think. The other band members have all their passions when they are not in the band, dude.
