The quality of the parts he's being offered is going down.

It's not only opinion to say an actor is good or bad, and it has nothing to do with how bankable the actor is (ask JC VanDamme). There are rules, codes, technics when it comes to acting that Jon doesn't yet master. And some movies he's made would have been better with someone else in his place. A good actor shines on his partners and makes them better.

Jon is not that bad, but he lacks intensity and ease, you can tell he's watching himself play, trying to control every word and move he makes, when he should just let go of himself. He never managed to make me forget Jon Bon Jovi and see his character only (and that is a failure imo). He's had some good directors and lessons so these are his limits as an actor right now.

Aside from that, I have no problem with him having some sort of ambition in that business and I'm sure he can improve too. If it can spare us a Bounce or a Complicated... Aaaaaaaaaand ACTION.

If he had been successful, I think there'd still be a band.

But "offered bigger and more interesting parts" to who? You? Me? The Public? Who are we to say/judge what parts he enjoys? Obviously he loves doing it. Obviously he's still being offered roles. So it's not failure.

Here are the FACTS:

1. Jon's songwriting has become lazy. Obviously his heart isn't in it anymore.

2. He has lost his singing voice anyway.

3. He is more obsessed about his looks than any hetrosexual male should be. (Maybe he has caught gaydom?) Seeing his blond thinning hair on CNN (the world's most trusted news source, trivia fans) yesterday was the highlight of my otherwise uneventful day.

4. His 'acting' delayed the release of the follow up to These Days by a year or two. That nearly killed the band.

5. He obviously still wants to be an actor since he continues to take roles in Z-list films even Christopher Lambert wouldn't take. And he also said so in yesterday's interview on the world's most trusted news source.

What do you reckon folks?
1. Thats your personal POW, there are still great songs and great lyrics!
2. Nope, he hasnt...
3. I dont care if he is...
4. Nope it didnt, it had some connection with death of someone who was working on that album with theme then...
5. Thats his hobi...

....Please tell me you're joking. Comments like this have NO place on a Bon Jovi message board.

Just joined the forums today, and saw this thread. Just wondering, does krb102 love to joke around/make controversial threads but is well accepted here at the end of the day? Or is he a troll? Cuz he got over a thousand posts, so if he is a troll, shouldnt he be banned by now?

I was in Cebu two months ago. I took the boat from Dumaguete. I asked the taxi driver to take me to a bar to escape a ladyboy who wanted to 'hangout' with me. He dropped me off at an interesting bar...
