I agree that the band would be successful without Richie, especially in the USA. Sabongo... who's that guy? The drummer? I'm almost pretty sure the casual US fan won't notice any change... Also, we all know that Bobby looks like a Richie's twin, so... (Hint: Read the LA thread.)

A few examples of successful bands that replaced their former lead guitar player:

Deep Purple - Ritchie Blackmore
Kiss - Ace Frehley
Dokken - George Lynch
Europe - John Norum

Also a short list of successful bands that replaced their lead singer: Van Halen, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Judas Priest, Toto, Genesis just to name a few

Anyway, I'll say call it a day until Richie returns. "BJ reunion tour 2018" sounds good, doesn't it?

Richie was a huge contributor song-writing-wise... it's more like when Izzy left Guns & Roses IMO. And we all know where that road ended!

Considering how Jon's voice is going downhill, in 2018 the set will be ...

1. The fighter
2. Old Habits
3. Not running anymore
4. Lost highway (downtuned)
5. We got it going on (acoustic)
6. Prayer (acoustic)
7. Wanted (only the crowd singing)
8. Always (TLFR downtuned)
9. Sleep when I'm dead
10. Born to follow

*EDIT* plus a killer encore of;

11. Halleujah
12. Open All Night
13. I love this town
14. Make a memory

aaaand, one for the diehards, never before been played before, just for us....
15. 'Shes a mystery'!

Yay result!

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

That's a killer set (for Jon, he will choke to death trying to sing Hallelujah).

Best album since Crush in my opinion.

Anyway, if Richie leaves the band, they should split. Even though I think WAN is better than their previous albums, it's mpstly because I don't think much good of Bounce, LH or TC (HAND was correct).
Thus Jon will keep writing songs people hate around here while Richie will make me laugh my ass off by releasing crap songs from his soul.
Moreover Jon can't sing anymore and Richie's been a mess on the last 3 tours (not to mention Tico who looks like he doesn't give a ****...).

W.A.N. =Worst album ever IMO

Anyway, BonJovi is already dead, I bet Tico and Dave didn't play at all on the studio this time around. Riche might have recorded some guitarrifss here and there a some backing vocals, but that's it, it's a complete Jon Bon Jovi solo album. The drums sound so fake, the guitars are complete missing, the keys sound so basic, this is it, they're done.

They should split without any doubt.

No, I don't mean any disrespect to Hugh. It would just be nice for fans who had seen Alec before he left the band then also those who never got to see him would also.

If Richie is gone for good, I think Jon will continue but as a solo artist. Richie is too much of a member of the band to continue without him. It's been too long, a 30 year career to just continue without him. Richie was always vocal in interviews, front and center and it will be so weird to see Jon try to bond with another guitar player as he did with Richie.

I've got to ask, did Joe Perry ever leave Aerosmith and then come back? I think I remember reading that and he did a solo CD? Did Aerosmith continue without him and then Joe came back or were Aerosmith on a break too? And I don't want, no way Steven wouldn't do that to Joe and tour without him!!
Thank you for the info. I agree with everything you said about Jon & Richie.
