It's a shame that there isn't someone somewhere who could help fill both of those roles.

What would be even better is finding someone who could do that, plus eliminate the need for Phil-X (and Shanks and Everett) on the road, AND handle the co-writing, AND have the gumption to tell Jon that a song sounds like shit or that it's a sure-fire hit (assuming, of course, that Jon would be willing to listen).

Now that I think about it, I believe steel_horse may have mentioned someone who actually could do all that. Unfortunately, that would require both Jon and someone to get their heads out of their respective asses first. So it may be a while.
