Default If you had the chance to choose...

If you had a chance to choose from one of these 6 session guitar players to replace Richie on current leg of the tour (or longer), which one would you choose:

Phil X:



Phil X - top L.A. session guitarist and the guitarist/co-writer for L.A.'s POWDER as well as Singer/Writer/Guitarist for The Drills. Tommy Lee calls him, 'My favorite guitar player

Phil has played on tours and albums for:
Randy Coven, Aldo Nova, Triuph, Tommy Lee, Methods of Mayhem, Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, Chris Daughtry and etc.


Dann Huff:




Dann is a famous session musician and producer. He has won several awards including the Musician of the Year award in 2001 and 2004 at the Country Music Association Awards and the Producer of the Year award in 2006 and 2009 at the Academy of Country Music. Last but not least Dann's band Giant is/was top class melodic hard rock!

Dan has played guitar on songs and albums for:
Michael Jackson, Whitesnake, Doro Pesch, George Benson, Whitney Houston, Taylor Swift, Celine Dion, Peter Cetera, Mariah Carey, Michael Bolton, Paula Abdul, Shania Twain, Rod Steward and etc.

Dann worked on six cuts on LH album. He also produced a part from HAND as well.

Steve Lukather:



Everybody knows Luke. He is the lead guitarist for Toto. Steve is also a prolific session musician, he has recorded guitar tracks for more than 1,500 albums representing a broad array of artists and genres.

Luke has played live and on albums for:
Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, George Benson, Lionel Richie, Richard Marx, Olivia Newton-John, Alice Cooper just to name a few.

Alice Cooper's Hell is living without you was written by Alice, Jon, Richie and Desmond Child. Guitars: Richie and Luke . Hugh played on the bass.

Dave Amato:


We all know Dave. He was Richie's right hand on SITT tour. He is also known as the lead guitarist of REO Speedwagon since 1989, but Dave also has played on tours and albums for: Cher, LaToya Jackson, Ted Nugent, Jimmy Barnes, Michael Bolton, REO Speedwagon.

Michael Landau:


Michael Landau is a prolific session musician and guitarist who has played on a large number of albums since the early 1980s. Landau, along with fellow session guitarists Dean Parks, Steve Lukather and Dann Huff, played on many of the major label releases recorded in Los Angeles from the 1980s-1990s.

Michael has played live and on albums for:
Michael Jackson, Seal, James Taylor, Helen Watson, Richard Marx, Steve Perry, Pink Floyd, Miles Davis and etc.

Phil X is a fine name, though Phil comes from his real name "Theophilos" or "Theofilos" as he's Greek. Anyway, I'd choose Dave Sabo if he was available
