I'll Be There for You on The Voice

Don't confuse Jon's Vocal Rasp with a Scream.

I'm not. Jon can be a bit shouty at times.

The only time Jon was shouty was in 87 during SWW tour when his voice was shot.He didn't sing anymore,he just shouted as hard as he could during that time ).
This is why I like Jon so much(during 80s-90s) cause he can sing songs like IBTFY,KTF,Lie to Me,Bed of Roses,I Believe,If I Was Your Mother,Hey God,Dead or Alive,Bitter Wine etc. in different styles and with different techniques. I ain't no vocal expert but Richie tries to sing every song in a bluesy way,I just feel like he is singing the same song over and over again but with different lyrics.

And from what I've seen since 2013 Richie lost a lot of his range,lately his singing has gotten pretty bad..he just shouts the notes and doesn't hold them but he always kinda did this on every BJ song.Just checkout performances of Dead or Alive where he quickly shouts ''It's all the same only the name will change everyday...''

I'm not bashing Richie..actually I really hope he will get his head together and stop all this childish act.The first time I heard that he quit the tour for personal reasons I thought he had some really important stuff going on but when I saw that he was chllin everyday with his daughter I really got mad and now that he is touring a few months later after the band finished the BWC tour just pissed me off even more.I don't know if I'm the only one that finds this really childish and stupid and sees this as a desperate act trying to convience himself that he can do great without BJ.

Oh yeah,and I bet it kills him that Bon Jovi managed to sell out all the tickets and have the highest grossing tour of 2013,without him.

This is one of my favourite Richie songs and yes I prefer it to Jon's version. I just hope that he performs it when he is in London.

I haven't listened to Always since March or so, and i totally forgot how epic this performance was.Those extra lyrics from 4:40 are so amazing and full of passion...especially at ''I crawled home baby baby'' he looks like he is singing his heart out and to make it even more perfect Richie's outro solo is just amazing,so full of emotion and passion!!
I can't believe that these are the same guys...they were so different back in the day that I can't even describe it in words.



And these screams are so freaking amazing.I don't know if I'm emotional today but even these screams seem to be full of emotion to me...i mean he sounds like he is crying after somebody

That's my favourite live performance of any song, by any band, ever. Perfection.

Yeah, it takes me back to days when I had only those official videos. I remember watching it over and over again, knowing when the picture's gonna cut, what move Jon's gonna do. Having tons of bootlegs kinda destroys the fun in some way. At least I can still be moved back and restore the feeling I had then.

The only slight issue I have with that performance is Jon's absolutely ridiculous dancing during Richie's solo. Wouldn't be that much of a problem, but to cut to show him flapping around like a retarded penguin rather than showing Richie is a pisstake.
