I must add that I find it one of the most boring ballads Bon Jovi has ever recorded.

I like the studio version but I agree with you here... It is a snoozefest.

I LOVE this version.

I love Richie's performance of this song - it's extremely powerful and gives me chills live.

I'm in two minds about this.

I've only seen jovi live twice (HAND and Lost Highway tours) but on both occasions Richie took lead on IBTFY.

In some ways I loved it; Richie has a huge following in his own right and it seems appropriate that he takes the lead for one song.

That said, Richie's voice can be alittle too raspy for my taste and Jon leaves thestage which means losing the great harmonies between them.

I remember even before they were on stage, fans (including me!!) were singing the "ooooh oooh oooohhh" form the final chorus !!

Tico and Dave Bryan have also taken the spot light also at times, no? Tico with crazy/waltzing matilda, Dave with Tumbling Dice!!

I LOVE richies version. He definitely has the voice for it, and if i ever get to go to a concert, id be disappointed to not hear him sing it. Although, his solo stuff is every bit as good. I really wish i could find a recording of it, for an ipod.
