Since the Glasgow concert I've been listening to them a lot more than usual, especially Lost Highway/HAND, but I know fine in a few weeks, I'll be sick of hearing those songs and I'll switch to either different albums or artists completely.
I think it's just normal, if you listen to any particular collections of music or watch certain movies over and over in a certain period of time, you're going to get slightly bored of them...nothing wrong with it, just time for a change

Ok so i put a bon jovi song on and half way through it i just get really bored of it , even with the songs i love (even WITW!)

it hit me during a video i was watching on youtube (it was an acousitc version of prayer form '94) i thought "why am i listening to this?" , "i've this done hundreds of times before and every version is almost the same" so i turned it off. Then just a minute ago i had "lay your hands on me" on and again i got really bored during it and it's usually a song i really enjoy.

no doubt i'll be back in bon jovi mode in a few days but right now i don't want to listen to them at all , i think i've just seriously overplayed them over the past few weeks (i've hardly listened to anything else at all)

but my point was , is anyone else is this stage ? have you been it before etc? or is it just me ? (thought it might get a conversation going )
i never listen to a band for a month before i see them live.
anyone who listens to Jovi (or any other band) 24/7 is obviously narrow minded.
go out and get into new bands or listen to the bands who influence Jovi.
i couldnt imagine anything worse than listening to 1 band all the time.

I think being on top of a building with an axe murderer who stabs you with a knife and then trips you up which causes you to bash your elbow on the floor and then get kicked in the nuts by him and then have him swipe his axe across your arm and then pull your hair and then push you off the building and then you land on the floor on your neck yet still manage to live but in extreme pain and then have a bird poop on your head and it goes in your eye and then as you're being taken away in the ambulance it crashes into a fire engine and then it catches fire and then you blow up could be worse than listening to thte same band all the time.

id take that over listening to 1 band 24/7 52 weeks a year.
some people take thier Jovi worshipping to seriously - its like thats all they have (musically) in their lives.
there are 1000s of bands out there to listen too. i think if i listened to jovi 24/7 id end up going mad !!!

Well said.
I've been through this phase quite often already to be honest.
Bon Jovi is and always will be one of my favorite bands - but it's just as most of you said...there are times when I just get bored...

I do consider myself as a devoted fan of BJ but listening to (new) stuff of other bands is exciting - letting the songs grow on you and so on. This excitement is just not there anymore - after the 3245th play of Wanted...
Then, having a break from Bon Jovi is just the right thing for me - enjoying other's music.
And coming back when they release something new; when it hits you again...when you remember why you love this band -
Being a fan does not mean (well, for me that is) to just "listen to as much Bon Jovi as possible" but to appreciate the music for itself.

Same with - post concert I find myself listening to Bopn Jovi all day! I have it on at work so it's only background noise really.

I'm sure it won't be long until a bit of Poison, Whitesnake and the rest slips back in to my playlist...

If they do come on my mp3 or itunes or whatever it all depends on the song, if i am not a fan of the song then i'll move onto the next. Theres only a few i'll ever listen to all the time!

No matter what happens to me, no band ever replaces Jovi. It just doesn't happen. Even if I listen to another band more, for a little while. It still always comes back to Jovi. They're the best, full stop.

TBH the only band I ever listen to are Jovi. I listen to nothing else, except the occasional bit of Linkin Park or Alice Cooper.

Jovi are just tooooo good!
