What do you mean with "didn't get its chance to see the light of day"? They played it in Berlin (by request, don't know about other shows though). Went over ok, but hardly anyone knew it...

Should have been played more often. Stuttgart:

Live version is better. The album production ruins it sadly. The vocal tuning leading up to the chorus is just horrible. Shame as I do like the song apart from that.

Agreed. At least they played Thick As Thieves, though only once or twice in electric version

I'm With You and Amen were my favourites from that album too. Because We Can has grown on me a lot. It should have been played more.

People need to face it, no matter how much you love your favourite album track, if it was released to radio it won't do well. Being mad at the band for picking bad single choices is pointless. They're Bon Jovi and they're just not hip enough to have radio success.

Bon Jovi will probably never have a real hit single again. But if they had more interesting singles, maybe just maybe a casual fan would be more inclined to give the new material a chance as opposed to texting/Facebooking in their seat about how they just heard the same song for the 100th time.

Both the rolling stones and Springsteen had thier recent singles played on radio 2 in the UK. Many times. The problem is jon bon jovi trying to be hip and relevant. It just doesn't fit a band now in their 50's and 60's. If they released something more mature it may at least get some critical recognition. Because we can is not that album.

True, but still single choices (not all, but most of them) have been poor since Bounce at least, partly already at Crush and These Days. While better singles would most likely not have made the songs a hit, maybe one or two people would've thought "hey, that's cool, who's that?" and bought it/become a fan, just like me when I first saw the video for Keep The Faith on MTV 21 years ago...
