I don't agree. I don't Jon is trying to be young or hip. I think his current music is age appropriate. And I think once a band "matures" its over. The age limit has been raised on that.

Jon's studio voice still has a youthful tone, well sometimes.

Jon / Jon and Richie wrote almost all tracks on Faith and TDs. And then Desmond assisted on a few which is fine. That's what needs to happen again. Too many outside influences trying to write a hit. They are not real and lack passion. Too manufactured.

But for an album that is going no where, its easy. Jon doesn't have to write as much for an album or as many songs. The rest is in the production. And the result is everything we got Post 2K.

Until Jon and Richie hash this out, they cant even begin a new album because they need Richies writing. Obviously. I don't think Jon would even try to release music under the Bon Jovi name without Richie.

Jon should use other outlets besides radio. Movies is the way to go but first, he needs to learn how to release a kick ass song again.

Well Jon said on multiple occasions that it's ok for a 25year-old to write Bad Name, but for a 50year-old, it wouldn't, so from his point of view (and I agree), they have to "mature", whatever you want to call it.

Desmond has (co-)written most of their hits, so if he is available and wants to collaborate, that's something they should do. The Billy Falcon co-written songs are good to IMO. John Shanks ain't bad from the musician side, but get him out as a producer or go back to the HAND sound, that was great and perfect, Lost Highway was very good too, The Circle interesting because of all the epic reverb and such, but WAN is at times hard to listen to, though I really like at least half the songs...

The production on HAND is not perfect. The production in Lost Highway was awesome, through.

I agree that's its not all horrible but it should be better. The results are in the effort, changing the chemistry, but relying on the same.

The songwriting has always been there so why mess with it. Jon was once a brilliant writer and i still think he is. He just needs to believe in himself once again instead of these over the top IML wanna be s .

I think he would in a heartbeat. If Richie doesn't come back, the band rolls on. Everything Jon has said and all his actions throughout this ordeal suggest that this is the case.

Would and has, multiple times. It's never been a full album released that Richie had zero to do with but there's enough songs Richie didn't play a lick on (post 2000) that suggests he's fine with it.

Strongest track on the album for me and if Jon does decide to go solo in the down time, this would be the route i'd like to see him go.

Might have got a few spins on Radio 2 but it wouldn't have set the world on fire. I do think they choose the wrong singles to promote their albums and even on tour I think they overplay songs that don't showcase the release especially well.

The more I think about where this band are, both in terms of internal politics and quality of output, I'm not sure where they go from here.
