It's got touches of pedal steel guitar I think. Meh, I'm just not hearing a big difference.

Personally, I find Lost Highway to have their most honest and least generic song-writing since Crush (or, maybe, Bounce).

Yeah, me too. Also like the melodies a lot, the country elements are a very welcome addition (because they're "new" for BJ), and actually they shook up the old formulas a bit - just look at Strangers with Intro, Verse, Verse, Chorus, Solo, Chorus 2 (!), Verse, NO chorus (!), Outro... I found that really fresh at the time and still do...

I think most people that have problems with it just want music to rock hard(er)m, whereas I for example just am in it for the melodies, harmonics, lyrics, etc. and can't even stand Metallica, 'cause it's too hard for me at times. There, I've said it!

Also love The Last Night - what greater message is there to give to a friend in need? Think he wrote that one about Richie at the time, anyone?

About What About Now, I came up with this one that I like a lot:
  1. Army of One
  2. Pictures Of You
  3. Beautiful World
  4. What's Left Of Me
  5. Into The Echo
  6. I'm With You
  7. That's What The Water Made Me
  8. Thick As Thieves
  9. What About Now
  10. Room At The End Of The World

Hmm... I like the inclusion of Into The Echo, though I would've added With These Two Hands too and not omitted Because We Can, The Fighter or Amen - so my album would have 14 tracks, but with The Fighter still closing (maybe after Into The Echo), can't put the rest in order right now though...

Where can one hear the country Version of "Memory"?
The one on Greatest Hits is the same as on LH, and all I find on YouTube is that same version + the video....

Indeed, is that. Here you have it on GoEar, also: http://www.goear.com/listen/a76fd9b/...-edit-bon-jovi

If you want to buy it, it's on the (You Want To) Make A Memory single in iTunes.

Thanks. Was there ever an official audio released of the video version of "Memory" with Jon's live vocal during the first half of the song?
