In Defense of "Captain Crash..."

I think it's a fun song. I tend to sing it in a weird voice to make people crack up. It's a cute little story, but I don't think it has much deeper meaning.

I've gotta say that Captain Crash is the bomb! I bought Crush at a very exciting part of my life, and at the time, I identified perfectly with Crash. "he takes the Greyhound, from his hometown when he comes around cause they don't let him drive now. Mixed up, as a milkshake, but make no mistake, Crash was lookin' like a star." I lived in a rural area, and had to take the bus thirty miles to school every day. I was very impressionable and confused, but I had a good attitude at the time. The "beauty queen" was a girl I was crushin' on and seemed impossible for me to get, but eventually we got together...not to mention, we met on Halloween and officially hooked up on fourth of July. We really were Capt. Crash, and the Beauty Queen, but she wasn't from Mars...I don't think. (Mars)tons Mills, MA...HA it DOES fit.

"hey stay young and invincible" = oasis stay young

"you and me were invincible" - cap crash

they sound identical.

Cap crash was one of my fave songs from crush when i first heard it, but im really bored with it now. It doesnt deserve to be a on the setlist everynight when they have so many more better songs they could play.
