So here they're saying there won't be any new material from them for a while, but at that after party Richie said they'd probably record another album after this tour. So they really have no idea what they're doing.

Yea but in the after party Richie says that there will be some new material maybe in the summmer after next, so basically thats a while, they're both the same.

I too also noticed that contradiction. They probably will take some time off. 5 tours in 8 years can't be easy.

Honestly, they need a break. Crush in 2000, Bounce in 2002, TLFR 2003 (crap), HAND in 2005, Lost Highway in 2007. They need to chill for a while before they burn out. Two tours for Crush, one for the rest of the albums save for TLFR. Like the previous poster said, 5 tours in 8 years is brutal.

I'm thinking there will be a break, similar to the Bounce/HAND break, which was almost two years.
I think the next shot at a new album would be about 2010.

I don't mind what happens really. If there's no break then yay new band album. If there is then yay new long awaited Richie album.

Decent article, thanks for this.
A few mistakes here and there but i know what they're on about...

Glad to see Richie wants to do more solo stuff but i don't want another longgg break from the band... maybe 2-3 years at most but hopefully nothing like the TD-Crush era.
