How is that interview new when it says "When We Were Beautiful, a movie which will be premiered at Robert De Niro's Tribecca Film Festival in New York in April."

It must have been done before April.

He should have adressed the Puerto Rico show a bit more, and talked about how they would make up for it by doing a 3 hour show here at a reduced price.....

It is a good read. I don't really have a problem with what Jon says about Richie.

DingDingDingDing. I knew that's where that idea came from.

"It was easy for him. He could get away with it. I didn't need him to write the songs.

"That's why our 2007 album, Lost Highway, was much more me than we. I could have kept making records without him. He'd just have showed up for the photo session.

WOW this is rather arrogant...he didnt need Rchie to write songs :O

"Last night Jacob got quite emotional about me going off to the UK for just two days. He wasn't all that happy about it.

"I've been home for the last year. But now I'm going to have to go to work again.

Um no you dont have to go to work again , u are financially secure... u choose to go to work again...theres a difference.

Apart from the above comments, I think it was a good interview.

I think I shall simply state the obvious: Jon loves himself. Way, way too much.

I thought Lost Highway was a Jon and Richie project? Their own lil thing. Why is Jon taking credit for it all?

Or have I missed something?

I was thinking the same thing. But then I remember there was quite some speculation on this board concerning what would eventually become Lost Highway actually being a Jon and Richie country record as opposed to the "Nashville influenced" band record it turned out to be.

To me that statement is just a wonderful explanation for all those uninspired and boring songs on Lost Highway. From my point of view, Jon merely takes credit for a disappointing record which, in retrospective, proves Richie's importance to their songwriting process (as if there was any further need for that).
