Yeah I've seen that quote before in a book, 'Rockopedia' I think it was. Always knew JBJ was a massive fan of Springsteen, but it's also evident that he has been influenced by Bob Dylan, like Bruce himself actually has. When performing Knockin' On Heaven's Door live Jon says something like:

"This is a song by one of the greatest song writers of all time, and no I don't mean Axl Rose. It was originally written by Bob Dylan for a sountrack to an old movie called Pat Garret and Billy The Kid, and it greatly influenced my writing for the Young Guns soundtrack."

I can't quote this perfectly of the top of my head, but I have a recording somewhere that I might dig out.

Have you ever seen Southside Johnny live? I did last fall and had to laugh so much. There you know who is Jon's idol when it comes to live shows. We said so often "exactly like Jon" LOL.
very true , it freaked me out watching Southside for the first time, its weird in the body movements, ie hands etc.

It's not a rumour, he said that I think in Mexico or somewhere else in 1997 during his solo-time. I have it on CD.

Mongoose, there's no need to abuse someone, esp. when he tells the truth.
