You don't need to attend a concert in order to be able to tell if a bassplayer is bad. There are bootlegs available on which Alec screws up.

Yes. On the bootleg video of Argentina 93 Alec makes a mistake and Jon looks very upset, he almost attacks him for it. Also, on an acoustic version of Blood On Blood Jon says something along the lines "Thanks Alec, it goes back to D" when Alec plays an A or something.

Yes. So ? If you record the guitar solo from Dry County 100000 times I can play it too. So Alec needs 100000 takes for it, and Huey only 3. Alec is a great bassplayer !

Just because you're some kind of weird fan of Alec, a musician that is drunk on stage and makes mistakes probably because of that, carries guns on stage for on reason, don't make his mistakes less important. A musician like Alec is not great.
