I listen to other bands too. But I always have. I've never solely listened to Bon Jovi. They've always been my favorites, but I've always had other interests. I regularly listen to the Goo Goo Dolls, MB 20, Sister Hazel, U2, Def Leppard, a lot of 80's music too. It all depends on my mood. I've started liking more country music over the last year or two too. After all that though, I still am anxious for something new from the guys. I can't wait for the boxed set.

I don´t think this period has made me listen to other bands because I´ve always listened to other bands such as Helloween, U2, Scorpions, Aerosmith, Guns N Roses etc.

But I´m all ready for the box set. Hope something will happen soon.

I just listened to TLFR and realised WHY I haven't listened to it for 6 months...Bring on the boxed set. It has to be better than TLFR

I've not been listening to Bon Jovi properly for let's see - gosh, almost a year. Yes, there's the odd live song or a bootleg that crops up, a performance I've not seen or an inspirational song I want to hear off an album, but other than that, I've not actually listened to a whole Bon Jovi album for about a year.

I've discovered quite a few bands I like, but more than that, this break from Bon Jovi has allowed me to go back to the bands I used to like before BJ, or around about the time I started being a hardcore fan. When BJ really hit me I pretty much forgot about all the great music I loved, which has been brought back to my life in one way or another... Like Mr. Big, Scorpions, [early 90s] G'n'R, Leningrad Cowboys etc... Plus there are names like Glenn Hughes, Steve Vai etc that I've gone crazy over and have taken my focus off Jovi for the time being.

As much as I like the band, and they still are my number one band, Bon Jovi is just not in my stereo or computer or car stereo anymore. I've had a few disappointment in the Jovi front... And it's an over-statement to say it's worrying, but there have been times in the past, even years, where I haven't heard from Jovi but have still listened to them regularily, constantly, waiting... Now I just don't find the inspiration to listen to them. When I start listening or watching videos, it sweeps me off my feet just as it has always done, it's just that those moments of inspiration become scarser and scarser.

But then again. Music doesn't have to and is not intended to be a monogamous relationship.

I think they are indeed going for a more spontaneous/artistic approach for the next album as they did for TLFR. But IMO, even if I think TLFR is ok, they've been way to happy with themselves over it when it doesn't show half of their talent, just like with Crush and Bounce.
They also need to be more requiring with themselves then they've been lately.

I find I have been listening to radio stations a lot more than I used to since I have gradually played Bon Jovi with less frequency than I have in the past. It allowed me to get into KISS, RHCP's, revisit my favourite Aussie band TISM (This is serious mum), AC/DC, Poison, Live, G'n'R's, and a bunch of others.

One of the radio programs that I just cannot get enough of is the Tough Love program on Triple M. I love the catch line they have for it;

So Tough Love, we've left the building.
Any tougher, it'd rust.
When the going gets tough, we get lovin'. My favourite

Also I've been listening to an Aussie Rules footy program called the Gospel. "The whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help my footy."

I still listen to Jovi frequently...stuck 'Crush' on today and cranked up 'Two Story Town' just to annoy my Shania Twain loving next door neighbour...but Jovi are just one of many bands/artists that are integral to getting me through the day. I'm just as likely to stick on some Ryan Adams, Tom Waits, Neil Young, U2, Tyketto, Aerosmith or Bob Dylan.... good music is as essential to my well being as food and beer!
