At least Water got the opening slot and extended outtro, which sold that one quite nicely. Because We Can had a little singalong, and actually did go over ok most of the time.

Would have loved to have seen Beautiful World or even Pictures Of You, much easier to get a crowd into an upbeat track they don't know. What's Left Of Me should have got played more, and it would have been nice if they added Room and Thick As Thieves into the IBT4U/Roses/Amen/Memory slow section rotation.

Bit disappointed I only got 4 new songs over the course of 3 shows- I actually like the album, and would have liked to have heard 6 or 7 of them. They should have played more of them and then dump them after this tour like they usually do
Yup no one knew Love's the only rule and Jon worked his ass off bringing that song to live by going through the crowd and actually putting the song in their faces. Standing behind a guitar strumming doesn't do enough to give life to a song.

They're playing few songs from the new album on this tour, absolutely, but the Bon Jovi Live Tour was after the Greatest Hits came out and how it was promoted, so of course the setlists were greatest-hits oriented.

With regards to the original post I don't think it's time to stop making albums but I want a shake up in the bon jovi world especially producers! At the end of the day why not try something new! And Jon always goes on about reinventing staying relevant etc... But you've had the same producer for several records now! Sod it try something different if it fails who gives a shit there's always the "legacy" to fall back on!

People who think that Bon Jovi are relevent are massive idiots and really do have their heads in their ass.

No one cares about the new Bon Jovi album. And when they are purchased they are binned after one listen or it's long term diehards who somehow find things that they like about the album. No one at all goes to a Bon Jovi show to hear What Aboot Now or Army Of One. Or even their most recent albums: No one goes for Born To Follow or Lost Highway. They go for Livin On A Prayer, Bad Medicine and Wanted Dead Or Alive. Bon Jovi IS a nostalgia act. It was proven when Jon thought he could play 8 songs off the new album, and it tanked so terribly that 5 of the songs were dropped as no one in their right mind gave a shit about those songs.

This! Bon Jovi did nothing to promote the album. You play 7 songs from the new album before it is even out and you expect people to react? I saw Metallica exactly one year after the new album was out and they played 8 and everyone was into it and sang the lyrics and stuff because the band believed in their songs and made it work live. The whole atmosphere was great, coffins hanging from the stage to promote the Death Magnetic album, pyros, stuff falling from the rafters it was just awesome. And they did all that during the entire tour without using screens once, amazing.

Raise Your Hands, Sleep, Capt Crash, Lost Highway, Sat Night, We Got It Going On, weren't hits.... Aside from the new material.

While you do indeed make valid points, I don't think that necessarily makes them a nostalgia band, at least as per my definition. To me, a nostalgia band is one who tours with no album to support it whatsoever, and rather just to play Greatest Hits sets to make money, much like what Aerosmith has become. I think there's a fine line between "nostalgia band" and "irrelevant band", and Bon Jovi is much much closer to the latter.

Rolling Stones are a nostalgia act.

I love WAN album. As long as they keep making music I'm a happy man.

Didn't he drop 5 new songs cos the new album wasn't yet released?
