Default Is Jon Italian speaker?

Hi all,

I've heard on the other day that Jon has Italian accent.
I know his root is Italian and he is an Italian-American and grew up in Italian community.
I also know in one of his interviews in the past, he was asked about what language he would like to learn. And he answered 'Spanish' because it is similar to Italian language.
Does anybody know if he actually can speak Italian?

Thanks in advance!
Emily

As far as I know, Jon can't speak Italian. He probably knows a few phrases here and there but that's it.

No. He's said he knows some words and phrases, but is no where near fluent. Someone asked him that in an Italian interview that I have on tape somewhere.

He's traveled enough to know bits of many languages, but he's only fluent in English. He once accepted an award in Germany in an attempt at German.

Well then, I've heard just a non-true story. Maybe I guess the peason who said that story has mixed up with his Jersey accent.lol

Thanks deb and Becky!

He also spoke some advertisings for a German TV channel in German which sounded quite funny. He doesn't know German, he just learnt how to say these sentences.

No. He is one of those people that thinks that knowing only one language is enough because it is english.

Not true. I've heard him lament that he is not fluent in other languages.
