Is Obie funny?

Hehe. I know he knows me, not personally, but if you'd ask him if he knows who Supersonic is he'd answer it by saying that it's one of those Bon Jovi haters from Jovitalk.

Oh well, he's an idiot anyway and I don't really care about the opinion of idiots.

I think he can be pretty funny, in a silly offbeat way. But I wish he would give proper answers to legitimate questions.

I think he gets asked a lot of really stupid questions and does the best he can to inject some humor into them. He also has the chance to give some serious answers to good questions and a lot of the time he likes to stay cryptic. Oh well, I just don't read it anymore. No big deal......

Not really. Lots of you are saying that he gets asked stupid questions but he choses to answer the stupid questions with that "humor".

The thing is though, that lots of fans have asked serious questions and those are the one he refuses to answer. Those aren't the ones that get posted, and there's no real reason for that other than the "I'm Obie and I know it but I won't tell you because I like to feel important" reason.

Seb, Maybe I worded that wrong. Like I said, I haven't really read the Q&A since Bounce came out. Back then he would get a question like

"does Jon like roses better on monday or friday?"
Who really cares!!!! So when Obie would give a smart ass reply to that I wouldn't care. That's a dumb question and he would get hundreds of questions like that for every 1 good question.

I 100% agree that he gets asked serious questions and totally blows those people off and chooses to answer those questions with smart ass replies as well. I don't like when he chooses to do that which is why I haven't read the thing since Bounce. When it first started I thought it was a great way for the band to talk to the fans but I think it's failed and since Obie doesn't take it seriously it should just go away.

Before you go looking (which I know you will) I made the above "question" up just for example.

On a side note - I asked him a ? years ago about Richie's new Sig guitar model at the time and he answered my question with a really shitty attitide. Almost like he shouldn't have been bothered with it. I would have almost preferred the dumb humor than the attitude I got.

Oh yes but that I agree with. Those are the questions that should be answered with sarcasm. That said, people who ask these questions and get a sarcastic answer still think it's funny and wouldn't realize that the question itself is stupid anyway. And what's the point of posting such stupid questions in the first place?

But it's there for Obie and Obie only. It's not there to let the band talk to the fans, or let Obie give serious answers, it's there for the purpose of Obie cracking "jokes" only and making Bon Jovi fans look stupid.

I know, but the question could be there anyway.

Which is why it should just go away. I do remember a point when both David and Tico answered some questions instead of Obie. If they would continue that, I'd be fine.

They never did. Tico and David answered only a few questions for AXS Premium, a service you could buy when you bought the box set. From the Bon Jovi camp only Obie and Jon have answered questions.
