Is Obie really William O'Brian?

At a concert scheduled in San Jose, Calif., last night, the New Jersey rock star Jon Bon Jovi was without the aid of his long-time sound engineer, William O'Brien, because a county court judge in Pennsylvania refused last week to release Mr. O'Brien from jail. Mr. O'Brien, 53, is serving an 18-to-59-month jail term for sexual assault on a 15-year-old. Mr. O'Brien lives in Chester County, where the offense took place and where, coincidentally, the QVC shopping network, which broadcast the concert, is also situated. Although Mr. O'Brien has served the minimum 18 months, prosecutors argued that a rock concert was exactly the wrong kind of event for a person convicted of a sexual offense to be allowed to attend. this is years old.... didnt Obie say that the girl said she was older and Jon accepted this explanation , which is why he still works for the band. Its not like Obie even has a low profile, so Jon must feel pretty sure otherwise I cant see him risking causing the band trouble with this...

Now thats pathetic. A Wife didn't get rid of the fool for having sex with a 15 year old? Even if he thought she was older, he still cheated on his wife! And if he did that once, who's to say there havent been other times?

I was going to comment (and didn't, but why the hell not) that back in 2003 when this was actually news there was not big outcry or any horror about this on the board. Things sure have changed. I think I remember Jana saying that in Germany a 15 year old could consent and it was not a big deal.

If the guy is a paedo then I'm disgusted. Is this really true? I can't believe he'd be continued to be employed.

Wait, so if your husband (hypothetically) slept with a 15 year old girl, that was most likely taken advantage over, you wouldn't leave him? For me, any woman (or man) who stays with their spouce after that is either blindly inlove or way to forgiving. Under no circumstances (unless he was given some sort of drug) is that acceptable in my books. At all.

No this wasn't a "little girl" so that you could call him a pedophile. This was a 15 year old who wanted to get close to the band and did anything she could to do so. Was Obie wrong? Obviously he was - but in the scheme of things that go on - on the road - this simply wasn't that big a deal. If she had been a year older it wouldn't have been news at all.
