Is Obie really William O'Brian?

All of a sudden- Obie's name is off the Backstage with Bon Jovi web site and now it says to ask questions of BJM.
This probably means Bon Jovi Management. Obie is probably still answering the questions.Maybe that don't want the negative publicity. What do you think?

So either some from here as sent in a question to Obie about this or Obie or someone reads this board >>>????
To be fair this is a private matter and I'm sure there will have been a lot of pain and blood sweat and tears over this issue several years ago ... Remember there's three sides to every story - yours mine and the truth and we really know nothing .. the guy got punishment and Jon made his mind up about the issue but really IT'S NOTHING TO DO WITH US in my opinion.
BUT if Obie or anyone from Bon Jovi management is reading this maybe you may pass on or read the real negative feedback about Jon's voice and is smoking habit which many of us now realize is causing a serious problem and get him to do something about it!!

What do you mean it's a private matter? When you are a public person, you can hardly expect any privacy. Obie officially represents the band. A trial and conviction are not exactly private. I didn't know about it, but it certainly affects my opinion of who Obie is and also who the band deals with.

I'm sure the guy hangs his head in shame about it but digging something up from something dealt with six years ago I think is going nowhere ..... he was punished and Jon made a decision

Obie represents the band? I'd say that at least 90% of people who've ever bought a Bon Jovi album don't have the slightest idea who Obie even is!

That's far from the "Be all end all" because that would insinuate we have enough information to make that judgment call. We don't. Find me a quote from anyone involved in this matter. Not a third party, I'm talking Obie or the family. It doesn't exist. I see what you're getting at but really, this has so little to do with the fanbase.

I'm not saying it's okay. I'm not condoning his actions. I'm just not judging the matter due to lack of information. I don't know the situation well enough to attack the guy or to sympathize with the "victim".

aaah, yeah, 15 year old girls from all over the world ask him questions on the official site and he passes along that information to Jon and the others. Doesn't that mean he represents the band to the world?
