Is the Jovi land full of chronic complainers ?

I don't think that I'm a huge complainer(wel at least I hope not )
But anyway, I don't like everything Bon Jovi does. For example I hate football and the fact that Jon is co-owner of a team will not change that .

I don't think we will ever see the Bon Jovi of the 80's again. I know people change but still.
I remember when I heard 'You give love a bad name ' for the first time back in the 80's , that I thought woow, what's that. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of albums lately who give me that feeling. I just think they are doing too much stuff beside the music and they aren't focussing for 100% on their music. And that's a pity.

And I really can't understand people who say , they like everything. Common there is always something you dislike. But I guess they are afraid of their Jovi-friends that they won't like them anymore.

Very interesting replies here .. I just realised that I made a poll and cannot myself answer it proprely ..I can't find the right place ...
I have always been someone easy to satisfy with music .. I prefer and love anything prior Crush (my ultimate fav era is the 90's) BUT I was though happy with their cd from Crush as well ... they weren't my favorite but I was still very happy (I never listened to the live album had other live that were THE GOOD ONES and just loved the live album released JUST because it brought another tour in Europe )
So on a music level not being a music specialist I think I am a happy person ...
it's when it comes to the rest I am a complainer .. I love what Charlotte wrote .. it's so close to me ....
I think that on a personnal way I don't like that much what Jon is wanting to give to us for the future .... I don't like football don't like american football but the point in the story is that I am mad Jon thought we would embrase the SOUL as a change for music JUST because it's about him !! Is this serious ?? Am I into a nightmare or what ? I just saw a post on another board that made me cringe so much ... a lady saying : I am so happy to have the soul on tv every sunday .... I can have my Jon fix !! ... when I read that I think that YES I am a complainer .. to be thought as just a person who will be happy with a Jon fix on tv (oooops sorry as a european let's be happy with screen captures :P )

I am a real complainer about that Jon fix concept .. I don't need a Jon's image fix I need a music fix (no not even that I need a artistic fix)
and I am also very disappointed that the non usa fans have apparently disappeared from Jon's interest so fast .... (proove me wrong if it is not true .. so far Vegas in April is not in europe nor australia nor japan .. same for borgata one and 2 )

so basically I am not a big complainer about the music I am a complainer about the Boss front man personna lately ...I really think Jon is showing some *non interest* for his music fan basis ... to think the band fans would be delighted and blessed to see his smile in the owner box would be enough for us it's not something that please me ... Any way, sometimes Bon jovi are great and sometimes they suck! that's a fact. But I do believe that some people take the words that quite often comes out of jon and richies mouths a bit to serious.
this is showbiz, everything can be altered and changed! I always find Bon jovi to include some great tracks on their albums as well as in there live shows.
many band's from the 80's sucks live, Mötorhead, Hanoi Rocks, Skid row, and so on, they aren't half as good as bon jovi live and thats way I still believe in Bon jovi, although I'm far from a fan of everything they do.

Of course everything bon jovi does can be better, but that rule applies to all of us!

I'm hoping for a real Rock album next time around. I thought Crush was dire and Bounce not much better altho I do love the box.

Maybe if London had some really exclusive casinos we would get a Jovi live fix

Didn't vote. I've made my stance clear on the board in the past. I'm neither overly negative nor overly positive. I call out their mistakes and I recognize the positives. You'll find those of us with that balance on this board.

But, this board does have a bit too many who are overly negative-slanted to where it doesnt matter what the band does even if the output is worthy of recognition. You'll find them among fandom with any long standing band and they don't recognize themselves, but consider themselves experts. They base their expectations of the band on past efforts, not in the sense of an established barometer...but more specifically mirroring what has been done before. This prevents them from recognizing worthy innovative efforts. To that end, the band could output an album on the level of These Days in it's own right and change up the setlist, they'll fail to recognize it.

I'm not sure if you thought about about me but;

- The output could be worthy of recognition.
- They could output an album on the level of These Days.
- They could change up the setlist.

A lot of things could happen, but they simply don't. Because those things could happen I'm still a fan but considering the fact that they simply don't I'm beginning to lose my faith in this band. And I've been waiting for 4 years by now, we've had 3 "world" tours and 2 studio albums and it isn't getting any better now is it?

Seb be sure that alot of fans are like you ( I am not one of yours but i am not far from you though ) those fans who are still having faith but lose it little by little at each band or jon move since few years are getting more and more numerous through the years(for the tough complainerss it's since 2000 for the milder ones it's from later )
I don't know this board very well but I do know backstage quite well a lot of posters just vanished and the ppl posting on a regular basis today are in majority new (bouncer or even later) this is good news Bj can get new fans but it's also the sign that Bj lose fans and somehow they lose the old ones to get newbies ....
