Yes, BJ repeat themselves quite often, but it doesn't bother me.

Maybe they do recycle some words, but at least "dying", "crying", etc. are words we're not embarrassed to play in front of our mothers, unlike some "artists" who repeat the same "obscenities" over and over in "every" song.

Well, in direct response to the words listed in the post....when I heard them in Everyday.....the impression was the usage is very deliberate. Rather than absent mindedly "recycling" lyrics lines and words....the references are intended. Everyday does intend to refer to It's My Life because it is showing an avowed, more serious approach that was originally proclaimed. The Talk Box intro also serves to tie that in....but it musically veers in another direction so the similarities between the songs stop there...thankfully.

With the lyrics, I have notice words that are often used but that doesn't bother me. It's in concert that bothers me. I have heard so many speechs so many times that it does get old. Also with the order of songs, I know when they play Living On A Prayer, the next one will be Bad Name. At Times Square, at the end of Living, I just said to myself, Bad Name next and it sure was. That is getting old.

Another thing, I have noticed that when anything is negetive, it always concerns Jon. Fans go on and on about Bon Jovi being a band but when there is negative things to write, Jon is the one that they write about and so I definitely agree 100% with that one. Even at Backstage with all the posts regarding Bon Jovi and Australia. I saw posts saying pls Jon come to Australia, I am begging you Jon. A question for Jon. Why is it always Jon? Then fans get upset when the media say Jon and not Bon Jovi.

BJ may repeat themselves but...

BJ has always been to me the down to earth band that I identified with in the first place. Unfortunately, life is just as repetative...

SUre, they repeat themselves. They definitely have a formula to writing a lot of their songs. But I love the formula! I have thought about the repetitive lyrics before.

How many times has he said "the sky's a different blue", or "wicked world"? And the new album has the very obvious "been around that block a time or two" on BOTH Open All Night and All About Loving YOu. But I think both songs are great.

What someone said about looking at each song as its own entity, its own story, makes the repeat lyrics not bother me. They are really great lyrics, very poetic, with meaning. And the music is great!

Oh yeah, one more obvious repeat from the new album is the reference to "run all the lights" in both Misunderstood and Right Side of Wrong.

I think it is more fun than anything else to look for this stuff!

Mike I noticed the run all the lights in those songs too. And the drive all night reference in Misunderstood- a little homage to Bruce's Drive All Night from The River perhaps?

As for the little speeches Jon makes in concert- this was only my third concert on Thursday, though I have about 10 boots as well, but it really seemed comforting to have the guys back with Jon picking up where he left off. It was a good feeling post this crazy year.

Default in fact It'S MY LIFE and EVERYDAY have similar lyrics

Just IT'S MY LIFE and EVERYDAY have similar lyrics.

IT'S MY LIFE,MISTER I AIN'T RUNNING
I'M NO PUPPET ON A STRING
I WANT MORE THAN I SEE COMING
ALL I WANT IS EVERYTHING!!!

All I Want Is Everything has the same message but the words are totaly different.
Bon Jovi lyrics are brilliant and i'm not saying this just because i am a fan!

Ok ,it happens that they repeat lyrics but it's not as bad as you described and maybe THIS IS THEIR INTENTION

However,i don't see BON JOVI recycling lyrics.
