Something To Believe In is equally as brilliant. Maybe even more so.

Jon is an obvious true talent and to this day, I'd like to see him rely on less outside influences with writers and producers. From CCrush onward, we've gotten less Jon and more outside influences. This is probably the reason why I'm so egar for a Jon solo album.

I don't feel the same about about Richie or the other members. They aged, matured, and declined, the way I would have expected. Jon on the other hand took a complete left turn.

I do however, still like Bon Jovi & Jon because the Jon of today is a parody of his old self and a good one at times (at times being the key word). At this point there is no need to throw in the towel because I don't think it's all bad or as bad as some of you think.

Unfortunately, it's just not the same and will never be the same. Jon's writing has dried up especially with the political optimism, his voice lost all passion, and his personality has become so staged.

At times it's sad but he is still around and continues to make a mark. That's a hell of a lot more then most bands do after 30+ years so if you look at it that way, it's not all bad after all. I just wish it was a different bad. He just lost the main three thing that I truly loved 20 years ago.

Could not put it better myself. Bon Jovi is too much of a business for Jon which is why I took a break from them. I still bought the albums I just stopped going to the gigs because I didn't want to hear the new songs live and the best thing about BJ was the concerts.
Since I've got tickets to a Richie gig this year, for the first time since 2001 I've started really listening to their music again and reading through the threads on here. These Days is the album that I always go back to. Now I listen to it it's with mixed emotions, I have the amazing memories (although they fade) and I still think that it's their best album but now I've become to realise that they won't come close to it again and it makes me feel sad.

This is exactly what I see in Jon too,it's funny cause I never thought that someone would think the same way and I didn't want to say this cause I thought people would laugh at me ). His facial expression, eyes and smile were so different back in the 90s and 80s,his eyes were full of passion, fire and joy,his behaviour was so different and cool but now everytime he goes to an event or interview he seems so...i really don't know..i can't find the right word to describe it but i just see that he is a different person.

That would be fine but the problem is that most of the time during shows he is like a robot on autopilot and he has no passion whatsoever,he sings his songs like they mean nothing and to make it even worse he sings like crap. I really can't understand how he can sing through his nose songs, sometimes he sounds so bad that I think he's doing it on purpose. How the hell could a 50+ year old mans voice sound that nasaly and thin,it's like he's castrated or something.

Just try this, sing I'll Sleep When I'm Dead with a normal voice,no rasp,no nothing, and after that try singing it through your nose like Jon does and you'll se that it's harder to make those nasaly and unnecesary sounds,at least I find it hard.

You are a genius! You put into words exactly how myself, and clearly, many others feel. I've always said aliens abducted JBJ in the late 90's and replaced him with this clone. Its naive but I still hope that one day that passion can return. I watch concert videos from the 90's and its amazing and sad at the same time. I feel like its there but buried by a lot of different factors. I think its due to his desire to be acknowledged and never having received that by the critics and viewing the 90's as a failure because they weren't as successful in the U.S. when that is the time period they produced their best work in the studio and on stage.

I think that most of us who are still around today still have that hope for one more great one! There is that anticipation with every release that one will just blow us away. I don't even need an entire album at this point. Just one great song....

That's also the reason why I hope we get another Box Set so bad. I know that there are songs out there in demo form that will be better than any new release ongoing.

And trust me, 100M Fans wasn't their best of that vault. It's only what Jon allowed.
