It's My Life vs. Everyday vs. HAND

i also think HAND is the best of them. I liked IML when it came out, but now i´m sick of it! :/
Everyday is nice live, but not as good as HAND.

It's My Life is probably Bon Jovi's most well known song today. And it's deservedly so: it's really not that much of a Livin On A Prayer 2.0 that some here make it out to be. Yes, it's understandable all the hardcore fans are sick of it from overexposure, but the average person isn't. I don't think it has as much replay value as HAND does though, mainly because of the awful solo.

Recently Richie has revamped the solo (see the Ellen performance). But as others have pointed out, it's just lost a lot if impact live (the fact Jon doesn't go all out on the outro chorus definetly hurts it). Definetly needs to be tweaked for the next tour.

I think Have A Nice Day is an excellent song. I like the guitars, the vocals are good, and it's still relatively different from It's My Life in terms of meaning. Yes, it's got the "Live My Life" thing going, and it lacks some of the intangibles IML has going for it. The solo's definetly better though.

And Everyday... so much potential in this song, I think. The riff is fabulous, and it's got a great tempo. But lyrically and otherwise, it's just a total mess (especially compared to Undivided, the most underrated song in the post-2000 Bon Jovi era). As someone else said, it's also woefully short. The new solo Richie put in the last tour made it a little better IMO. But it's a mess.

I loved IML for a long time but as people have mentioned - it has lost a lot live. If we stick to album tracks though I guess I would have to give it to IML over HAND - but not by much.

I don't think I could decide.

IML is a really cool song as its everyday (which I loved to bits when it came out).

HAND is helped by the fact that it's a monster live, the other two lack that power live. So I can only decide by live performances so I'd choose HAND.

Don't ask me about studio recording because I won't.

though i listen 'everyday' more often than IML.

I'd say IML is the best.
But honestly, I don't hink HAND shares the same themes as the other two.
Everyday is clearly It's My Life part 2, and they share similar "Live my life" lyrics, but to me HAND had less to do with believing in yourself, then it did with saying "**** You".

Definitely It's My Life for me. Yeah it sucks live, and I never choose to listen to it because I think I'm sick of it. But yet every time it comes on the radio when I'm not expecting it, I realize that I still think it's awesome.

Everyday is a strange one because I want to hate it but I can't. I became a fan in 2001 so Bounce was the first album that I could get into from the beginning - and back then I was REALLY into it. I remember calling radio stations to request it, watching VH1 constantly just to see the video, skipping school to buy the album the morning it came out... etc. So even though I think the song is weird and crappy, it kind of represents a whole period of my life.

As for HAND - I like it, but to be honest, if it disappeared tomorrow I wouldn't miss it.
