Hmm, I don't know but I like Bounce a lot. Its a great album and it is definately in my top 3 of Bon Jovi albums.

your kidding right? SWW, Keep the faith and these days destroy it.. as does New Jersey.. and i think Crush is way better..

It's in everyone's rights to express their own opinion, but that doesn't mean that other's have to agree with it.
If you don't like Bon Jovi anymore, just though their CDs out, stop going to the shows and forget about them (everybody do so when they stop liking a band). But the changes in your tastes and preferences don't mean that the band has to quit their existance. Who knows how is gonna be the next album!

i'm sure that if they ever come back with a great album and tour you won't want them to stop anymore.

It's their opinion, and everyone is different. Hey, I am a fan of the old BJ too, but if people like Crush better, so be it. It is their right.

I don't think things are looking so bad though. They're exploring new ways. People don't like it? well that's a personal thing. For me it's more important that they're trying new things and not relying in their success formula to sell records. They're taking risks and IMO that speaks volumes.

Tis called experimentation people.... let me ask you all a question, and I want you to answer honestly.... would you rather they were a band that never experimented, just re-hashed what made them popular in the first place? Would you have preffered having SWW parts 2, 3, and 4, rather than NJ, KTF and TD?

Keep On Rockin'

As you can gather from my previous answer - I'll go for experimentation all the way. Doesn't matter whether or not I like what comes off it, but that's better than them relying always on the same formula and stuff.

Many people like These Days and yet that's different from what they had previously been doing (well, maybe Keep the Faith was alreay going that way). Crush and Bounce and This Left Feels Right are exactly the same. Some people will like them and some people won't (just like there are people that don't like These Days). But I do prefer that to a never-ending series of Slippery-When-Wets

You are answering this question with the fact in the back of your mind that their experiencing in the nineties was succesfull which led to the result of Faith and TD. If those albums would've been just as bad as Bounce, everyone rather would've had a Slippery 1200.

AC/DC has been making exactly the same stuff for a long time now, still the fans appreciate it and AC/DC is happy with it. Sure, they haven't been that succesfull, but at least they did stick to their roots which can not be said about Bon Jovi lately.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Not really, I used both examples! I do prefer their 90s stuff but I don't think the 2000s stuff is all that bad. And if it wasn't I still say I'd rather have them experiment and try new things that repeat the same stuff over and over again.
