Well, not to give too much away but I actually learned acoustic versions of 'Diamond ring' and 'Stick To Your Guns' in the last week (although I think I prefer the electric version of STYG more) so who knows.......

The Richie solo tracks you mentioned I can play too and I'm also partial to 'Harlem Rain' but unfortunately I know my limitations vocally so unless I can convince Ross to do lead vox on them, I'm afraid they may have to remain as soundcheck material or little acoustic 'fannying about' between tracks. Shame.

Haha, glad you enjoyed it Steve

I remember when I first got the album after all the praise I had heard and I thought it stunk. I was really disappointed.

But that was then I was more naive than I am now! It's awesome, it's a masterpiece! If Sarah Michelle Gellar was a CD she'd be These Days.

That said, I don't listen to it as often anymore. Perhaps cos I'm in a Glam Rock season at the moment.

LOL! Yeah, I can see that. I got very excited when they brought the acoustics to Jon's mic at Twickers but Jon was silly enough to play the first three notes whilst getting ready to introduce the track and I picked it instantly so I knew what we were getting even before he'd said it. Kinda lessened the expectation but I was still thrilled at getting a track off 'These Days' even if it isn't one of my favs.

Pity...lol. Would have been different.

It's only normally when a band have split up that you reflect on the back catalogue in great detail. That said I think 'These Days' will be an album that will suprise most casual fans. They don't play much from this period live now and I can't imagine many tracks being on any future 'best of' release. This makes the album all the more special IMO. This album is my favourite and shows the bands mature side and just how great they are. Songs like 'These Days, This Ain't A Love Song, Hey God, Something To Believe In, My Guitar, Letting You Go, Damned, Lie To Me' are some of the best songs Bon Jovi have writen.

If you are reading this and do not have this album, buy it, simple as that. If you can get the original UK version from 1995/1996 as it contains an extra song.

I'd be kinda' worried if anyone here didn't have These Days.

These Days is definately my favourite album. I love blaring out Heart's Breaking Even. Jon's vocals are amazing in the whole album.

Well it is in my Top 3 favourite albums And Sarah Michelle Gellar is probably the person I'd like to get with most (I fancy my chances)

Ignorning the whole marriage thing, obv!

Listening to These Days just now for the first time in a few weeks, it's just struck me how beautiful the song "Something To Believe In" is. I've always loved it but now it just seems to have so much more meaning and significance....
