What? No way!

Although if you think about it, ripping someone off is a form of flattery.

Though I always and in every single moment would quote These Days as my favourite album of all time, I had this magical rediscovery last year, too. Hadn't listened to it for a while... It was some weeks after my girlfriend had left me, and you can imagine that I was thinking "I will never listen to this album again"... but then, somehow, I put it into my player, turned it up, and started listening to it over and over. As dark as it is, it lightened me up, and brought me back to life. I was just so used to listen to the post 2000-albums, which I love, too, but I was so amazed how "deep" TD actually is... it blew me away. I really understood the melanchoy and the spirit in the music. Oh yeah.

You can imagine me being a very, very happy person to hear them play "Hey God" in Munich this year. Not just because it's one of my favourite songs and a brilliant guitar rocker, but its also my favourite band rediscovering their best album ever.

Great album. I still stand by my opinion that it's not their best, but it's still an incredible album (minus three songs that absolutely detest) Most of the tracks are ****ing amazing though. The title track is in the top three of my favorite songs ever written, period.

I did the exact same thing. Atlough not over your girlfriend - over my (ex obviously) boyfriend. Atlough, it was extra hard because he also loved Jovi...and esp. this album. So, we used to talk about the songs all the time, listen to it together when we could, etc. I also told myself, I will NEVER EVER be able to listen to any of these songs again. But, at the same time,I had this urge..you know, you do weird things when you're at rock bottom - like listen to really depressing music, instead of uplifting music? In one way listening to it after all that, just about killed me. But at the same time, It just touched me so much. The lyrics were screaming out at me, and it felt so personal to me. Such a special album.

Love this album.

I once wrote up a VERY long review of this album, song by song and just poured my heart out. The album means so much to me and I was very proud of what I had written. I had gotten all the way to If That's What It Takes and then the power went out in my house. This was many years ago before Microsoft Word saved your work on it's own.

I was really in a zone writing that night and was heartbroken when all my work dissapeared. Needless to say, I've never written anything again that I didn't save every few minutes.

An absolutely amazing album. That's all that can be said. I don't class it as one of my faves, because even though the songs are amazing, there's 2 that I just can't listen to because I really don't like them. The best songs have to be (It's Hard) Letting You Go, Bitter Wine, Hey God, These Days and Damned.

Excellent album!

For me it has always been the greatest album ever. It´s magic. Ageless quality.

The title track is a masterpiece. One of the best songs ever written.

You see, I think the song These Days is somewhat overrated. I do like it, but I don't think it's the best on the album at all. Hmmm...
