I've been saying that for years now and I'm glad someone else commented on it.

Yes, even the tone of his normal speaking voice has changed.

I wouldn't say that he sounds screwed up but just different.

Jon has two things working against him. The actual tone of his voice has changed in combination with his abilities to hit high notes.

It's time for him to reinvent himself or find a producer with good studio tricks.

Am I the only one who thinks that nothing else is going on other than Jon nominating his band and the band accepting his challenge?? That there was no ulterior motive or pride or anger and nothing for anyone of them to benefit from??

No, you're not.

Yes. Thank you for not being a looney.

Fyi, the challenge has now raised over $31.5 million:

It's time to throw the towel. When things don't work, they just don't. Would anybody had listened to a bon jovi with this voice if it wasn't for the history the band has?

Yes. The best thing about Rock and Roll is, it doesn't have to be perfect. I always use Axl Rose as the example. Back in the day when GnR were the biggest band in the world, the dude couldn't sing for shit and he knew it too. They pumped out amazing studio albums, Axl had a beyond exceptional band behind him, and when they played stadiums, no one gave a shit about his vocal skills. Rock N Roll isn't an X Factor, The Voice, or an American Idol.

Jon is still a great performer and has charisma. It might not be for everyone anymore but he does have a target audience.

I always considered Axl Rose a screamer, not a singer. He sure ain't one of my favorite vocalists but the guy had great range and pulled of good live vocal performances considering he was always running around on the stage. The one thing I dislike is that in almost every song Axl sings like someone is cutting his balls off,I mean so many of their songs would sound so much better,at least for me,if they would've had used a different singing style.

Anyway,Jon sure is a great performer and has lots of charisma. When I first started listening to live performances post HAND tour I didn't even notice how different his voice sounded in comparison with how it sounded when he was young. Even now I sometimes get carried away when I watch live performances and totally forget how bad his voice sounds
