I'd definitely prefer making a donation -- perms cost too much for needlessly getting my hair wet!

P.S. Is the "Jay McKee" Jon mentions the one who spent ten years playing hockey with the Buffalo Sabres? Is this his way of linking himself to the Pegula camp, who own the Sabres and supposedly have the inside track on buying the Buffalo Bills?

P.P.S. Remember Jason Becker, who was going to be in David Lee Roth's band until he came down with ALS? I interviewed his father, and I'll never forget how terrible he sounded. The disease's life expectancy is only two years, but no only is he still alive and well, he's still composing music and was the subject of a feature film!

Jon's hair is what's important. Let's just all hope that he can find the strength and good judgement to start coloring it again.
LMAO!!!! I didn't see that one coming.

I dye my graying hair -- not out of vanity or in pursuit of lost youth, but because I don't think I look good with gray hair. So I think it will happen. With his dream of owning an NFL team pretty much in the crapper, it WOULD be for the best if he returned to rock star mode, made up with Richie and got to work on the next album.

The fact that he said that he wanted "to be the first (member of Bon Jovi) to rise to the occasion" is VERY encouraging!

By the way, that's New Jersey governor Chris "Governor Soprano" Christie on your left, who just couldn't resist glancing directly into the camera before picking up his side of the bucket -- typical politician. With Jon as Christie's replacement New Jersey rock star best friend forever, I'll bet Bruce Springsteen is feeling very sorry for throwing him over -- if you'll pardon the expression!

Aloha !

Someone was bound to get a fuzzy feeling over Jon mentioning "Richie Sambora".

I don't really understand what a bucket of icewater has to do with ALS, but if it brings money to the organisation who gives a shit? I'm not sure if the participants know they got to donate money either way though, or are even aware about the thought behind it.

FFS talking about seeing things when they're not there and then blowing them out of proportion.

Well, the ALS has reported a ton more traffic on their website and their donations have more than tripled from the prior year from just over $1M to well over $4M at this time so say what you will about the campaign but the goal of raising awareness and money has been accomplished.

Wonder how much flak he'll get for saying "thank you, Buffalo" from the over sensitive fans?

I'd apologize, but that would blow things even further out of porportion.

I'd apologize, but that would result in yet ANOTHER post that's all about myself.
