What annouys me is these silly people that will pay this sort of price , because they will think that they can get away with it . Then of course people like me will never beable to afford it and even if i could i dont think i could justify to myself spending that sort of money just for that . I'd rather go on a nice holiday .

The band is playing live on 6/30 in Tokyo for Asahi Beer campaign, so it's not like JBJ is goint to Japan just for FC event. I am sure Asahi Beer Co. will be paying for the first class air fare and nice hotel rooms in Tokyo !!
Then why so expensive ?
Oh, I see, some of it is donated to Jon's charity, isn't it ? Must be!!! Can't think of other reasons!!
Isn't it? isn't it ? Matt?

It's nice to see that the fc are finally acknowledging that there are fans outside the US who will want to have a fan club meeting. I think that's a step in the right direction, and I am pleased for Japanese fans.

However, the price is just ridiculous! That is way too high, when it doesn't include a show, or even a one-to-one pic/chat... That is way expensive, but mind you, it's only a rip-off if you a) pay it, and b) pay it but don't think it's value for money. The London HRC was expensive (although nothing compared to this!) but personally it was well worth the money - and hence not a rip-off.

Hih, not even that. David offered to pay me 3 Finnish marks (about €0.50) for a photo with me As it turned out he didn't have it on him, so it was for free in the end.

Isn't that's a bit like having three Big Macs and ordering diet Coke instead of regular because of the calories

It was mentioned that there is cost involved in hiring the HRC and flights and accomodation for staff.
I am not sure how it works in the USA but would that be considered a business expenses and therefore a percentage of it tax deductable?
$950 x 200 (guessing the number of tix, the venue is quite small, we went there when we saw BJ in Tokyo last April) = $190,000.
The band are there already for a seperate event.

The thing that worries me is that any fc events outside the USA are going be heading towards this price range. Totally unaffordable for the average fan.

Thanks for posting this. I thought I just imagined the guys were going to be there. So, in reality, they are making a big profit from this event.

It seems the fc must have received lots of questions and of course read people's reactions about the cost of this event as they made a big explanation about it - which of course hasn't convinced me!. I still think it is way a lot of money.
