Could be, if people thought that the emotion was lacking and it didn't seem " real".However I have heard JBJ say that whispers work better than screams and I think some people have had trouble adjusting to the quieter, more subtle JBJ voice. The power is still there, I don't know whether he could sustain it 3 hours a night night in, night out, anymore but it is there.

Or maybe Jon's just covering up fot the fact that he can't sing that way anymore?

If it's there, why doesn't he show it. Ever. There's been plenty of chances for him to show he still can sing, but he won't. Or can't?

I really enjoyed your post. People are so quick to judge Bon Jovi, but they have talent and staying power and that always wins out.

The best example I have is a show I went to in Minneapolis lastyear. the one that was half acoustic and half electric. Jon's voice was very strong during the acoustic set but once they plugged in it really showed up. He did keep the faith like I hadn't heard it in years. This was a long show after 3 hours Jon went into the beginning of Shout and it was as good as I've ever heard him do it. The power is there. I can't answer for you why he doesn't use it at shows you've seen. And not to be critical Ice, but ever? Unless you go to every show on tour how could you know if he ever shows it? Iv'e been at shows where he has, now to be fair I have been at shows where he's played it very safe and very careful . Again I can't answer as to why he does that, only Jon can.

If he can do it, why not do it when everybody's watching? At Borgata, at the Olympics? Hell, I can sing perfectly in my bed room, too bad no one's hearing it.

Really good post and remarks. I think indeed sometimes the emotion is missing when he sings a song. That's probebly also why I don't like the ballads from Crush and Bounce. Those don't touch me. This post really made things clear and was great to read.
