Written by Jon for the Elton tribute album, "Every once in a while, I hear a song that I wish I had written. The first time I heard 'Levon', I knew it was one of those songs."
I think Joey is definitely and unashamedly inspired by Levon. It's my favourite song on the album at the moment.

Same here just got the album and have to say that Joey is my fave @ the mo........LOVE IT!!!!!!!!
Great storytelling song.............

I know some people love this song and that is great,
I LOOVE BOunce as an album and some of the songs like distance and bounce are some of the best ever - but I just can't even really stomach listening to Joey, I even wish it wasn't on the album I have really really tried to like it but nope it is already wearing out my skip button  I agree - no doubt influenced by Levon and that is cool - nothing wrong with that. But the chorus lets it down and those lyrics are well....I won't go there... too cheesy for me and seems like a "what rhymes with ? keys" etc type song. And WHAT is jon thinking filling space with COME ON COME ON ..again..... I am sorry guys but I really wish a demo like Breathe or We can dance replaced this song and I think I would Die if it was released as a single.
