Default Joey

Has anybody noticed that in addition to Joey having his own song on bounce, he was actually referred to in Wild in the Streets

It's not the same Joey. The "new" one is a handicapped boy living in the neighbourhood of the song writer (fiction, not a real boy).

Hmmmm Sambo Chris....this probably sounds stupid....but I was thinking that who knows, it may be the next chapter in the Joey story.....I mean now that Tommy and Gina are gone (Jon gave them a happy ending in its my life).
Now all we need is for Sahara Jack and Suntan sally to get a guernsy again

I don't think that it is the Joey from WITS, but he isn't described much in that song. If it is the same Joey why should he have a song dedicated to himself when Tommy and Gina never got one?

Livin on a Prayer was all about Tommy and Gina. Although the name wasn't, the song is clearly only about them.

tommy/gina and joey are just characters that us folk can relate too...i think there is nohting wrong with 'joey' having his own song...i would like to see the return of captain kidd and the king of swing....hey, that could have been the title to captian crash and the beauty queen from mars!...i dont think tommy and gina were given a ending in its my life...cos all that is said is that they 'never backed down'...which is a nice nod to the ppl who aspired to livin on a prayer, and never did back down...roll on joey...

Joey kind of reminds me of Elton John's Levon. I guess it is just the story and piano. The Bon Jovi cover of Levon is great too!

I agree, it didn't sound like an ending to me, it certainly wasn't a 'and they all lived happily ever after' ending is it. There is room for a real ending isn't there?

I think that its the same Joey.

U r right about Its my life not saying "and they lived happily ever after", but it would be hard to actually give them an ending like that, in that song, because the message was all about living your life to the fullest.

I think Jon probably decided to right one more happy song about them, and say that it is the end of the tommy and gina chapter.

I rate they get Sahara Jack and Suntan Sally going for a song! (a fun song of course)
