While I don't see the gay thing, it could explain the fondness for sappy ballads. The last two albums definitely leave one questioning the band's "rock" status. Enough already!

Yes, but have you ever actually seen Elton John!!!!

The thing about rock star is it's just one of those strange phenomonas. You may think that being gay, i.e camp, largely uncool, e.t.c is projected through tight cloths, leathers, and wearing over the top shirts and stuff.

Whilst a rocker is pertty much the most straight, most masculine man possiable (or I like to think so being one myself ), but they wear much of the same things! It's like, we wear cloths close to womens (I'm sure everybody could find losts of exampes of this for almost all rock stars), we wear our hair like women's (i.e LONG), there is a little bit of prancing, and mincing involved (i.e Uli Jon Roth [anybody who thinks he's gay just look at his girlfriend... aye corumba!])... Yet with all these similarities, rockers to gays are like chalk and cheese, complete oposites!!!

Therefore Jon isn't gay, he just rocks!

You're probably right..... although the screams in Keep The Faith are still fantastic, probably as good as I'd die for you.

Ian torres, you should tell that guy it's time to move out of the 1984 rumor mill. The whole "Jon is gay" thing has really worn quite thin by now.

His clothes don't make him gay and the fact that he is married doesn't mean he's not gay. What it comes down to is, he's obviously a man completely in love with his wife and children and shows no inclinations of homosexuality at all.
