Because a part of the people that react are the all-lovers that you hate, and the other part are the all-haters that I hate.
However, the majority doesn't even consider to let the band know what they think about something like artwork, because a) they think it's quite ok and not a big deal after all, b) it won't change a thing if they did and c) every logical thinking person would not assume that the band, respectively Jon, would go through every f*cking submission a fan made about the artwork. They have a life methinks.

Ilene Schreibman and then Kevin Reagan and Vartan get a big slap on the back for the amazing artwork.
I really think he is the only one who thinks the artwork is amazing. To me it just sounds like he's trying to convince the fans that the artwork ís amazing. He knows lots of fans thinks it's ugly but tries to convince them the artwork is amazing. Also, the Oompas have told us that the artwork is great, which means they've gotten a lot of complaints about it as well.

Now, anyone who thinks in a logical way should know that when about 99% of the fans think that the artwork is silly, ugly and just sucks, that the artwork is not amazing.

Now can anybody tell me why Jon tells us in a letter towards the fans that he's so happy with the artwork of a boxset of which everybody thinks it's ugly? Why does he do something like that? Is it to convince himself that the entire artwork project and his Elvis obsession wasn't a miserable failure? Or is it because he thinks that he can really change the taste of fans?

If that's true he's right, because there indeed are fans who like the things he likes, but he should face it that there are people out there that don't kiss his ass; the people that don't post the things his mom wants. Please discuss.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

We may not care for the Gold suits, but MAYBE Jon likes it, truly, that is all that matters. I am sure if he did something different, it wouldn't be good enough for ya.

Good grief. Perhaps he likes the artwork and wants to make people aware of who created it?

I do like it as well, I think Maybe the Gold suits were over the top a bit. LOL But if it's what THE BAND WANTS, then that is all that matters.

If the Oompa's reactions about the artwork are simply rude and harsh, I think we can say they've been spoiled with questions and just opinions about the artwork. Also, they know what people say out here on messageboards, so they do know what people had to say about it.

Also, Jon might not go through every submission, it still doesn't answer the question why he brought up the artwork thing again in his letter to the fans. I'm 100% positive he knows about most fans not liking it, he knows what's been said on messageboards and what the general opinion about him and Bon Jovi is.When the Bounce tour had started in Japan people complained about it online and he mentioned it a few days later during a show in Japan. He knows what's been said. And a part of his life is what fans think of the things he does.

So fans will send a letter to the people who created it? Saying thanks for the artwork, I appreciate it!

It doesn't make any sense.

Sebastiaan

Well, many things don't. This is not a really big conundrum either. Jon likes it - or says he does - ane he thinks more people do like it. That's it. End of story.
