Default Jon and his "wisdom" - Part 4.

Aloha !

After reading the new letter from Jon that came with the Backstage magazine (no I'm not a member but read it online so again I saved a lot of money) I couldn't help but finding Jon a stupid dork again.

Quote:
As one executive said to me a year ago when I accused him of protecting his bonus and selling his lost soul in the name of commerce, he replied, “It’s always been about commerce Jon.” I hung my head and cursed them to a future of J-Lo and Britney. Fortunately the ghost of Elvis wasn’t listening to me and gave us all something to hang hope on.
And mr. Jon Bon Jovi is the one who should know it's always been about commerce. He's the biggest commercial rock star on this planet. And why does he bring Elvis up again? It's getting boring, that obsession. Also, Elvis was a pop star as well. Face it.

But the thing that bothers me is that instead of taking a producer that produces rock albums, he takes:
Quote:
John Shanks who is a really hot producer right now.
If Jon Bon Jovi would really take the music business that serious he would not take a producer who is really hot right now. It's just the same as pop artists are doing. He's hot, so he hires him and wants to make sure he makes a lot of money with the new album. Last Man Standing would've been honest if Bon Jovi would not have made Crush and Bounce, but now it just sounds silly. A guy that tries to rewrite IML (Richie did even admit this) because it was a big hit, is complaining about the music industry. Jon Bon Jovi is a big hypocrite.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
