I wasn't trying to change your mind, i was just trying to be accurate and you are incorrect in your assumption that the final comments were part of the interview.
I stand by the comment that it doesn't seem to matter what the band do or say, or why they do anything, someone, in this case you , is going to find something wrong with it.

Regarding the ending comment about HAND being in stores now, that is just a standard way to end an interview segment, albeit a weak way. I was watching a reality tv show where 3 news reporters were competing to be an entertainment reporter. They showed them doing the interview and then going back to do the followup ending segment. One girl wasn't sure how to end it and said something like "and the show airs Wednesday nights". The judges said it was a weak ending, but one that reporters fall back on whenever then can't think of anything else to say. So I presume that's what the CNN reporter did. And since the new album is in the stores, it wasn't a totally off the wall comment.

Nah, Javier is right. You are being a bit ridiculous letting this one comment ruin the entire interview for you. But to each their own.

weren't they? it was an interview about charity and volunteerism with the ending comment "The new BJ album HAND is in stores now". i don't particularly blame the band for that but i comment on how this interview doesn't sound right (to me).

I didn't think it was an explanation, just voicing my opinion, as we all do around here.

This is a transcript of the TV segment. Just because that's all that aired doesn't mean that's all Richie said. I find it very difficult to believe his words were limited to such finite blurbs. It's not his style! They probably just edited out whatever he said.
