Ah man, this one bums me out a bit.

"But those rich kids and all that lazy money
Can't hold a candle to mine
So tell your mama and your papa
Sometimes good guys don't wear white

Good guys bad guys which is which
The white collar worker or the digger in the ditch
Hey, and who's to say who's the better man
When I've always done the best I can"

Even has a "You better tell your mama and your papa somethin'"

I’m not sure if this counts but…

You can probably tell by the title of the song alone which Bon Jovi song I’m referring to… and of course I’m talking about “Tokyo Road”.

The lyrics in the 2nd verse go:

In a bar, breathing smoke
Snorting whiskey, drinking coke

For more than 20 years I thought it was a funny play-on-words as I was not familiar with Pat Travers or any of his music. I’m not sure if this is a direct reference/rip-off of the above song or if it was a common expression in the US/Canada from that time.

You would think people would be having law suits against Jon left and right?

I remember what they did to George Harrison. "In 1971, Bright Tunes sued Harrison for copyright infringement over "My Sweet Lord", owing to its similarity to the 1963 Chiffons hit "He's So Fine". When the case was heard in the United States district court in 1976, he denied deliberately plagiarising the song, but lost the case, as the judge ruled that he had done so subconsciously."

I suppose you may need to have decent financial backing to have something take an age to potentially get to court.

It is interesting seeing recent cases (Marvin Gaye vs Blurred Lines, plus the Ed Sheeran ones) that some that don't sound that alike make it to court.

Listening to that intro - which Bon Jovi song may have it been an inspiration to?

And I'm pretty sure this album was on repeat while they were working on the KTF record:

Slow Down by Prophet - YouTube
And it's another band from New Jersey on top of that...

Wow!

The second song doesn't remind me of anything from KTF. What song do you think it resembles?

The second song's overall tone (also in terms of guitar sound) kind of reminds me of some stuff on KTF. Wouldn't call it stolen in this case though.
Taking It Back (was that for KTF?) comes to mind in the verses though. And, ironically, the intro (take the guitar away) has an "Army of One" feel to it
And the overall mix of the instruments reminds me a little of when they tried something with songs like Save A Prayer.
