I had to copy my post:
I don't really understand.
How is it possible that he is singing well here?
You can not hear very much but the difference is remarkable

right...i just wanted to make the same exact comment...impressive difference in the original key and probably without any serious warm up...imo as one also stated before jons problem is mainly phycological/lack of confidence in his pipes..
i am no expert but to me jon looks like he has tried many different things to save his voice and sound decent and i hope he ll get some of it back, i know he isn't getting any younger but in the last bounce shows and hand shows he was sounding bad and during lost highway and the circle/gh tour there were some incredible vocal performances...i recently watched sth to believe in from Sydney 2011 and it was surreal and the same guy 2 years later he couldn't hit a note and stay on time during some of the wan shows

As someone had stated in another thread: Maybe it really is a psychological issue. He drank some shots as the bartender there and then went for it. Give him half a bottle of Whiskey before the show and he'll rock the house

Ha, that was great! I love the bit at the very end ... "It's the longest build up in any song ever, it takes an hour and a half before the singer gets to sing"

I was pretty shocked too to hear him sing "high" without sounding bad. I mean he doesn't sound like in the 90s either but jeez, compared to 2015 he sounds good.

I don't think that the main reason is that Jon lacks confidence, imo if Jon would push himself to the limit every night the tour would be over in a couple of weeks and I don't think he will make a full recovery like he did after SWW.

You can't compare him to singing some notes here and there for one day to the demand of touring and doing a full show. I fully think he can pull off quality vocal performances but a whole show's worth is not the same as this.
