Just got me wondering has there ever been a song, when we heard it but it was never released? There was that song in Access All Areas and Jon is singing and I don't think, that ever was released on a CD.

Fighter for Love? I can stil recollect that song now. It sounded like it could have been a good song, but they had that long break after the NJ tour and probably never came to anything.

what about the song life is too short for days like these ..I recall Jon performing it once as if was going to become an official song and it never turned up as expected after that .. maybe it is like other mentioned a song for the elections or something ...I think he played it on purpose ..I wanted to make you hear this song .. I made it on purpose for the occasion of ... of what we don't know yet but it is how I hear it in the interview

I LOVED "Life's too Short....". The rare times they've done songs live that never got put on the actual albums it's been a case of "here's a song we're really excited about, it's going to be on the next album" and I appreciate that they have that feeling of enthusiasm about, I'd assume, most songs they write. I think Hush was the same way, Fields of Fire, uhhm...

Was going well until they brought up him being the only signed member of the band. It makes me cringe when he talks about the band as a team and an organisation. Other than that great interview.

Its strange the song on the facebook preview had a country twinge to it and the one in the actual programme sounded like Happy Now pt 2. I really want a ballsy rock and roll record. I'm not fussed about the lyrics being the same so much as its a fundamental reason why I love this band, but I am genuinely hoping for a new sound from the next record, those clips didnt show that...

Agreed ! But those songs are good because they don't have another life than the short one they got once or because they were too good SO they don't have a commercial life that would spoil them ?
... the sad part though is that it seems Jon tend to dislike those songs .. well he seems to be unable to really love a song that he decided that don't have potential commercial success .. it's like he censors himself

No, sorry, I worded that badly. I like that they write songs they're excited about and want to show people.

I agree I agree. I feel like he puts these songs out because of It's My Life over and over.

I wouldn't put too much stock in a few few clips. As far as I know, because Sambora's working on his solo album/learning how to tweet, Jon and Richie haven't gotten together to write. That will change the dynamic a bit, I think.

Ok I got what you meant ... and I agree too I like when they are excited to show us something that its not necessarily gonna be more than what we get spontaneously
