End of summer bash raided by the fuzz

Whether you're a fun loving teenager or one of the biggest rock stars in the world, one essential truth is constant: Nothing ruins a great party like having the cops show up.

In a scene straight out of every teenagers-having-a-party movie ever made (see: Party, House; or Bad, Super), police raided an end-of-summer party thrown this past Labour Day weekend by none other than Jon Bon Jovi.

The Living on a Prayer rocker decided to go all out in saying goodbye to the sunny season this year by hosting a massive bash and inviting all of his rowdy friends over in New York's posh Hamptons area. You might not have been there, but Jack Nicholson was - and so were the cops after (jealous?) uninvited neighbours called to complain.

The party was winding up as Jon Bon made the call to end the soiree with a bang by staging a fireworks display alongside the performance of a few classics by the New Jersey rockers.� All was well until the cops knocked on the door.

The New York Post reports that the 48-year-old rocker saved the day by inviting the lawmen in to watch the encore.
