I don't know Jon, or Dorethea...and that's pretty much my point. None of us actually know how they feel, what even went on exactly, or anything.

Maybe she just doesn't care. She knows he's always going to come home to her and as long as he's not emotionally attached to someone else, maybe it doesn't matter to her. It really all depends on their individual relationship and you can't lump EVERYONE into the "cheating is a deal breaker" category. Especially when one of them is a famous rock star. I'm not married to a rock star, so I can't say if the rules would be different or not. Maybe? But I do think it's not as black and white as you might think.

Yes, but we can speculate, based on the information we have. This, after all, is an interesting topic. If we had to know all the facts about everything to discuss it, there would be hardly anything to talk about.

The press are the ones in recent years who always make a big deal of the fact he's been married so long, not Jon. I haven't seen a serious interview with him in recent times that some version of the " how do you stay married with all the temptations" question doesn't come up or " how does your wife deal with all the women carrying on about you" thing.

I'm not sure what it is anyone expects him to say. He usually goes with the "I've never claimed to be a saint" comment and leaves it at that but my take was that this time there was more to the question than the journalist put into the final article, which is why Jon elaborated. I don't think he was being disrespectful to Dorothea. Disrespectful would be him having some woman on his arm at some club or walking into some hotel with another woman or getting pictures taken kissing on some woman, none of which has ever happened. Whatever he has or hasn't done he has indeed been discreet about it. Never once has Dorothea had to deal with public humiliation, ie tabloid pics of him with someone else in an obvious romantic situation. Even Bruce can't say that , he got caught with Patty in Italy while he was still married to the Julianna woman.

The article is great to worth reading because you can get to know how much Jon respects his honesty. I understand it would break the clean image of him that many of us have. But his stating that cheating wife thing happened in the years of his 25 or 26, which means that was before his marriage with his wife, not about since the marriage. Plus, he didn't say that was totally okay thing to his girlfriend (wife) at that time. Yes, this could disappoint some of his fans but you know, he's already confessed in one of his great songs, Bed Of Roses. It was said about the music scene surrounding him at that time but I think there is double meaning there.

No, no, no, "no with males", you are kidding, right?
I know he sometimes kisses to males, like Richie, Al Gore, Elton Jon, etc, but I guess it's just Italian way to express affectionate.

I don't know why people keep saying this is in "the past" and before they were married. I don't really take that from any of the interviews. To me, it sounds like something that has happened throughout the years. Where has he ever said this was all in the past?? I think some people want to believe that so as not to tarnish their image of Jon.

Right. Maybe I'm the one who wants to protect the good husband image of him. I just can't think and accept that like those having affairs, cheating somebody.
Anyway, I learned how his wife is strong with the interviews.

this just might be the most "unguarded" interview I've seen him do. It was nice to hear some of the stories a little more in-depth this time.
